For next year, the forecast is their spending will exceed $1.2 trillion. That's not pocket change; it's a 50% increase over previous expectations. Looks like the AI gold rush has just begun, or maybe it's just picking up serious speed.

Mainly, they're buying hardware. Tons of super-powerful chips, the kind needed to make the most complex AI models "think." The increased spending primarily involves purchasing powerful AI chips and building more robust data centers.
