Blade Runner 2099: Full Trailer Drops, Plus a Glimpse of Godzilla

Here we go. The world of Blade Runner, with its shimmering neon under relentless rain, is about to reopen its doors. After years of chatter and a few teasers, we finally have a full taste of what awaits us. Prime Video decided to show its hand, and did so with style.

Prime Video officially unveiled the full Blade Runner 2099 trailer at the New York Comic Con (NYCC). It immediately transports us back to the dark, fascinating atmosphere of the original masterpiece, with a touch of freshness. It seems the production team really understood what makes Blade Runner so iconic, without messing it up.

This series is positioned as a direct sequel to the first film, the one starring Harrison Ford and his philosophical musings. Ridley Scott, the saga's father, is involved as an executive producer. That's a good sign: it means the original vision should be respected. We're expecting skyscraper chases and existential dread, naturally.

It wasn't all Blade Runner. Alongside Blade Runner 2099, the NYCC also featured the trailer for Godzilla Minus Zero. This is the sequel to the little gem that was Takashi Yamazaki's Godzilla Minus One. A nice bonus for anyone who loves giant monsters destroying everything.

Godzilla Minus Zero promises another kaiju epic with stunning special effects and a tense atmosphere. If its predecessor won over critics and audiences, expectations for this sequel are high. So, the dystopian future and the radioactive past met up at the same event. What a time to be alive!
