OpenAI rolled out the "Memory" feature for all Plus users: ChatGPT remembers past conversations, your preferences, your work style.

In practice, if you say "always write in a formal tone" or "I work in fashion," it'll keep that in mind forever. You won't have to repeat the same things every time.

Is it handy? Yes. Is it also slightly creepy? Also yes. Because everything you say gets saved and used to "personalize" responses. You can manually delete memories, but how many will actually do it?

The real problem: if you share the account with someone, or change your mind about something, ChatGPT will keep behaving the way you taught it. And convincing it to "unlearn" is exhausting.
