I Tested Google's Gemini Spark: The AI Assistant That (Plot Twist) Actually Works

Gemini Spark is one of those tools you don't expect to love, then you use it and think, «wait, why didn't I have this already?» It summarizes your unread messages, suggests events nearby without you having to dig through five different websites, and handles the tedious stuff you'd normally procrastinate on. Everyday tasks, basically, but done well.

Put it to the test and the results are clear: the thing cuts down the time you waste on repetitive nonsense. If you're the type who opens Gmail, sees 47 emails, sighs heavily, and closes everything, Spark might actually change your day. Same goes for finding something to do near home—usually you just end up scrolling TripAdvisor for twenty minutes without deciding on anything.

Here's where it gets weird: Google could've just tossed these features straight into Gemini, their main AI assistant. Instead, they created a separate product. It's like if Apple put Siri in a different app from iOS—technically it works, but the logic is fuzzy.
