Quite a lot, perhaps too much for our collective sanity. The seventh Minions film, titled "Minions & Monsters," proved that the yellow creatures are still an unstoppable money-making machine. It absolutely dominated the July 4 holiday weekend box office.

"Minions & Monsters" earned $61.4 million in the United States and Canada over the July 4 weekend. This made it the highest-grossing movie during that period. Despite other releases, they showed they still have a loyal, or perhaps just resigned, audience.

It's a mystery marketing experts will study for decades, or maybe not. They offer a lighthearted escape and incomprehensible noises that, apparently, soothe the masses. There's no need to overthink it, just laugh at a small yellow being saying "banana!".

Universal Pictures released "Minions & Monsters," the seventh installment in the animated saga featuring the yellow creatures. Their consistent success suggests audiences crave simple entertainment. Perhaps it's a symptom of the times, who knows. After all, a little gibberish never hurt anyone, right?
